Foglight AI is an advanced feature designed to make your monitoring process more efficient and actionable by leveraging AI and machine learning technologies.

The Foglight owner or Administrator can generate a trial license by navigating to Administration dashboard and clicking on the Manage Foglight AI License link. This automatically generates a trial license and displays the license number in a dialog box. The trial license activates the AI add-on for 90 days and grants access to up to five Foglight users.
After generating the trial license key, the dialog box displays the license details and provides a link to the License Portal, where you can agree to the AI terms and activate the feature.
Once the trial license expires, you cannot generate another trial license within the app. To continue using the AI add-on, contact Quest Sales to purchase a license. For assistance, contact Quest Support.
To enable the AI features, you must acquire a license. To generate a license, contact your account manager to make a purchase. Once the license is generated, it will be sent to you via email.
Foglight can be linked to one AI license number at a time. The same License number can be attached to more than one Foglight environment.
The license owner needs to activate the license by following the steps mentioned below.
License owner is the person who purchased the AI add-on, is listed as the primary contact, and received the welcome email.
To activate the license, the owner must enable the feature from the License Portal. In the License Portal, navigate to License > Settings > Features and click Enable Feature.
Until this step is completed, the feature will not be available to anyone in the organization.
Once the license is activated, other users in your organization can access AI features by logging in. The license operates on a per-seat basis. If the number of active users reaches the total number of purchased seats, additional users will be unable to access AI features until you either purchase more seats or remove existing users from the license.

To manage the Foglight AI license:
To use AI features, you must sign in with your Quest Account. If you do not have a Quest Account yet, sign up to create one.
The status displays as:
- Active: When the license is valid.
- Disabled: When no license is provided.
- Not Validated: When the license is expired or invalid.
- Active but not enabled: When the AI features are not enabled for the license.
If the status is Disabled, click Contact Sales to request a license.
If the status is Active but not enabled, the owner must sign in to the License Portal, navigate to License > Settings > Features, and click Enable Feature to activate the feature.

Chat size is too large. To clear the chat history click reset | The chat size has reached its limit. You need to reset the chat and start over. Click the reset link provided in the message to clear the chat history and start a new chat for the selected alarm. Before resetting, copy and paste the chat information to save it. |
