Prerequisites for Monitoring Cassandra

Foglight for Cassandra is compatible with Apache Cassandra versions 2.1+ and DSE versions 4.8+. However, some data may not be available in earlier versions. The following list itemizes which features become available at which versions.

Traces include client and command.
Buffer pool JMX metrics available.
Storage service JMX metrics available.
Various changes in JMX table metrics.

Foglight for Cassandra can be installed on FMS 7.1.0+ and agents require FglAM 7.1.0+.

The agent runs on a FglAM that can be either local or remote to the AWS environment. For details on configuring your AWS environment for monitoring, refer to the Installing and Configuring Agents section.
